Hello everyone,
my new work laptop is a Macbook with M2 chip (Apple silicon). In order to use Alteryx I virtualize a win11 ARM through VmWare (also tried with Parallels desktop and that yields the same results).
My workflows use the following drivers: Simba-Slaesforce, Simba-Snowflake, SnowflakeDSIII.
I downloaded the 3 drivers from Alteryx Licensing portal (they are all 64 bit).
My Windows11 is also 64 bit.
Whenever I try to setup the drivers using ODBC Manager (64 bit version, as the drivers are 64 bit) I get the following error:
The setup routines for the *<driver name>* ODBC driver could not be loaded due to system error code 193.
When Googling this error it appears that it is due to a mismatch between the driver and the OBDC manager used to configure it (32 bit driver with 64 ODBC - or viceversa). Since the drivers are 64bit and the odbc manager is also 64 bit I don't understand where this error might come from, but anyway I tried all possible <driver-manager> combinations in order to not leave anything unattempted. Nothing worked!
It doesn't seem to be possible to setup any 64bit driver on an arm windows, which sounds crazy to me!
At one point I found one article on a Microsoft forum where one guy was able to set up a driver by using the 32 bit one + 32 bit ODBC Manager on an arm win11.
Following his example I managed to configure it successfully, but all this is useless as Alteryx is a 64it application, so I cannot use 32bit odbcs....
Anyone else who experienced and solved it? I'm losing my sanity here
Thanks!

they will be able to help you.
This is not an Alteryx issue. You are on a MAC with incompatable architecture. You wlil not be able to run 64 bit drivers on your system.
