Hi All,
I am trying to match a list of company names to the D&B dataset to get a few attributes from there. I downloaded and installed CASS on my device, and downloaded one of the training workflows to have an starting point; however, it appears I still need to install something else and I cannot find what. I get an error stating that the macro BusinessFileMatching_US.yxmc is inaccessible and I don't know where to get it. Further according to the workflow it appears I have not downloaded the D&B data as one of the tools is an "?". Can you please help?
Thanks in advance

Hi @darevalo004
The Business Insights data package is an additional purchase and it appears that you have either not purchased the package or have not yet installed it. Do you know if you have purchased a license for the Business Insights? If so, you can go to downloads.alteryx.com and you should have access to download and install it. This will install the business matching tools and give you the ability to run that workflow.
Up at the top of your screen it says:
If you have purchased the Business Insights you should be able to navigate to "Data Packages" and select the Business Insights package.
Could you please help me as I'm getting the below error ?
I did install US Business Insights-> US Data (Q3 2023) but not consumer view (131 GB)
@venkata_chakka it isn't just the data pack installation, it is also the activation of the Business Insights license key. Each individual using Business Insights data must have the associated license key activated within their Alteryx Designer.
Thank you for your response. After adding "US Location Insights," I am still getting the same error. Is "US Location Insights" different from "Business Insights"? I appreciate your help
@venkata_chakka yes that is correct. Business Insights includes firmographic and demographic data. Location Insights has spatial layers, drive time analytics, geocoding, and more. You can read more here:
Business Insights includes Location Insights, but it sounds like you may have purchased Location Insights on its own.
Thank you! I'm able to obtain the Business Insights license. I was hoping to get a DUNS number and match score with 'Business Math,' which will be used to identify duplicates. Instead, it returns a DNB_ID. I'm not sure what this ID is and how to leverage it. Do I need to purchase a new license for this?
Note: The Fuzzy Match, with the combination of Business Name and Address, is not ideal due to many scenarios in my case. For instance, the subsidiary and headquarters are configured with the same number of addresses , so we don't know which is the subsidiary address. The subsidiary name and HQ name are very similar. So the Fuzzy doesn't work here.
With the DUNS, we would be able to identify that the subsidiary and HQ are two different entities
Thank you very much!
I'm thinking you might want to try playing around with the Calgary Join tool. You can do an exact match on a DUNS number and contains with business name.
The D&B DUNS number is not included in the output but can be queried if the business file you have includes the DUNS number.
