Unable to "Sign in via Internet Browser" to use the Power BI Output connector

Hi

I am trying to use the Power BI Output connector to connect my Alteryx workflow to Power BI. However, there is an error message saying "Can't find plugin "SdkEnginePlugin.dll" and I am unable to authenticate my account when prompted. When I click "Sign in via Internet Browser", nothing happens (it doesn't re-direct me to a sign-in page).

Appreciate any help possible. Thanks!

@chesslam
I downloaded the PowerBI Output tool from below and did not encounter the issue you had.

Maybe you can try to reinstall?

and there is a mention here so maybe you can check if your AMP Engine is on or not?

https://help.alteryx.com/developer-help/platform-sdk-quickstart-guide

Troubleshooting
  • If you get a workflow error that says ‘Can't find plugin "SdkEnginePlugin.dll"', or "This tool is only supported in the AMP Engine. Please enable AMP to use this tool.", enable the AMP engine for the workflow.
  • If your tool panel does not render or shows a blank screen, enable Chrome Developer Tools. Now, when you select your tool a Chrome debugger is presented and you can see any errors for the tool interface.

I have tried un-installing and re-installing both Alteryx and the Power BI Output connector, but the same error appears. Understand that the error "Can't find plugin "sdkEngineplugin.dll" error" usually occurs when Alteryx is unable to find the SDK Engine Plugin, which is required for connecting to Power BI. To resolve this issue, I have tried the recommended steps below:

  1. Check the Alteryx installation directory for the "sdkEnginePlugin.dll" file. If the file is missing, you can download and install the latest version of Alteryx Designer from the Alteryx website.
  2. If you still cannot find the "sdkEnginePlugin.dll" file, try repairing your Alteryx installation. To do this, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features, right-click on Alteryx Designer, and select Repair.

I have tried #1 and it doesn't work, the same error message still comes up.

Re #2 , I am unable to find to see a "Repair" option when I right-click Alteryx Designer. There is only an option to 'uninstall'.

I am also still unable to click 'Sign in via Internet Browser'.
