Text to columns and Delimiters

Hi all:

Wondering if I am using the correct delimiters to split the GL date into years, month and date (into 3 different columns). See below for your reference.

Currently, by using the (-) delimiters, its given me empty column split. 

Appreciate any inputs in advance.

I think we need to convert the Data format from Date To String before split
