Take string off of the name of workflow.

How can I take a string off of the name of workflow?

I am building something that I roll over each month, let's say.

For example, I have this workflow named "Workflow 2023.1"

I need to utilize the string 2023.1 in the workflow so it's more dynamic so that I don't have to change the workflow for each month.

I do this in Excel with formulas like

=MID(CELL("filename"),SEARCH("[",CELL("filename"))+1, SEARCH("]",CELL("filename"))-SEARCH("[",CELL("filename"))-1)

Is there a way to do this in Alteryx?

Hi @hlee36

You can get the workflow name using [Engine.WorkflowFileName] inside of a formula tool. After that, you can use string formulas/regex to parse whatever you need.
