I used to be able to tab the results; however, that option is now grayed out. Any ideas on a solution?

I'm having the same problem - I really prefer having my results on a second tab in order to maximise the space I can use to build the workflow. I moved laptops recently, re-downloaded Alteryx and this option is no longer available.
What appears on my screen is the following -

Hey @g_barton, @Brittany_Aleman If your using Designer 2022.1 I think tabbed Document may have been removed. There is an idea in the community to request it back: Bring the Tabbed Document feature back in version ... - Alteryx Community If the post gets more likes and comments the developers will being it back.
For now I think the best we can do is drag the results window under the configuration window:
