Sum of Unique IDs

I have a list of unique codes and a cost corresponding to it.

Unique Code	Cost
583	500
262	700
236	900
562	200
145	300
365	700
979	500
879	200
583	500
262	700
236	900
562	500
583	500
262	700
236	900
562	200

562	200

First I want to take out unique codes and then I want to sum up the cost corresponding to it. The out put should reflect like below.

Unique Code	Sum of Cost
583	1800
262	2800
236	2700
562	900
145	300
365	700
979	500
879	200

Can someone please help?
