Sum duplicate values in a field to be displayed once

Hi,

I have a data set that contains two fields: Serial Number and Payment. For example:

Serial Number               Payment

ABC123                           15.01

ABC123                           15.01                            

ABC123                           24.97

DEF456                           18.12

DEF456                           39.90

DEF456                           17.13

There are duplicate serial numbers and some have the same payment amount. How can I take the sum payment amount for same serial numbers. So, for ABC123, how can I have that record displayed once with the payment being 54.99?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Group BY Serial Number and Sum Payment.
