Struggling with user text input

Question

Hi,

This is pretty simple. This is my first time working with an app and using user input. I created a text box with Question and sample default text. When I connect to the action tool it says "unable to process the connection to the destination, update the configuration of the action".

The action type is set to update cell (default). When I try to select update row and column the drop down selections are blank.

How do I correct this? Workflow is attached. Thanks

Hi @adriennelenker - You need to add at least one value to the Text Input tool in order for the Action Tool to have something to update.

Then click on the Action Tool to make sure it is selecting the correct Column/Row to update like so:

This should solve your error.
