Standardize the fields in the Find Nearest Neighbor Tool Not Working as I expect?

I am trying to use the Find Nearest Neighbor Tool in Alteryx and when I use the option to standardize the fields using that tool, the results that I receive are much different than I expect. In fact some people with the exact same age are getting two different Z-scores as displayed in the measures tools. See Elizabeth and Hunter both 21 but Hunter's age Z-score is -1.2 and Elizabeths is -.45...confused..what might I be doing wrong. This is all fabricated data by the way.
