Special characters

Afternoon all,

I've run into an issue, which I can't seem to solve. Using special characters.

I know that you can change the code type in a formula tool, however, how would I do this in an interface tool?

Please see below screenshots... if I input a '&' into an interface tool, it disappears from the question when the app is run. I work in the Analytics & MI team in our organisation. This is kind of frustrating. (even tried using '&', as you can see below)

Any thoughts?

Thanks @dougperez , thought it may be a bug.

I've been doing a lot of work recently on 'creating' a workflow by creating the XML file, in an alteryx workflow, and saving as a .yxmd output. Needless to say, these special characters have given me a lot of problems.

If only the XML editor within Alteryx wasn't set to read only for interface tools, I'd be able to get it working. Wonder why Alteryx did that?

I tested here and I think that's a bug.

To escape the "&" into the xml is "&" and into the app xml it shows the "&".

However, if you put the "&" into default text it will bring that to you...
