I am working to implement a process to automatically migrate workflows from Development to Production, Ive got it all working but want to double check that Im not missing a trick with sharing DCM connections....
So the process is, sync connections from your desktop to the Dev and Prod servers, save to Dev, set the flag that its ready for migration and then a workflow will run to migrate to Prod. Once migrated you need to share out the DCM connections (if a new one was created) with the user group who will run the workflow. This is where I run into problems - from what I can see, its not possible to add an Active Directory group to the sharing option on a DCM connection. I can add an Alteryx server custom group, and this custom group can have an Active Directory group as the single member of it but.... the intention is that designers wont be admins anymore, so they would then need to log a call for me to create this every time its required. Is this correct? Is there really no way to add an AD group to a DCM connection? Its just strange, when you can add an AD group to a Collection but not DCM
Also having this same issue, seems a little strange you can do it for a Collection but not a DCM Connection
