Sharepoint file as Input - was working but not now

Hello,

Before anyone says it....I know this is not a support Input file source using Sharepoint files....however, I had something odd happen.

In my last company, this was no problem using this file path format:

         \\mycompany.sharepoint.com@SSL\DavWWWRoot\sites\.....\filename.xlsx

In my current company, this worked the first few times I ran it....then It all of the sudden said "file not found" and will no longer work.

Any ideas why it would just quit working? Is there some authentication roadblock that kicked in after I was successful the first few times?

Thanks!

We have made several changes to connectors over the last few releases.

Can you please confirm which version of Alteryx you are using and also attach either your actual workflow or a screenshot of the workflow so I can visually inspect how you're connecting?

Thanks!

Zac,

I'm using an Input Tool and pasting the full path w/filename. I was at first able to select the worksheet in the file then run to a Browse to see the data.  Now, when trying to select the Sheet or running it, I get a "cannot read....." for the sheet selection attempt or "cant find file...." in the workflow execution result.

I'm running V2018.3.  This worked at my last company (IR) using V11.

Thanks!

And this worked at your current company a few times then stopped working - did you make any changes in your Designer setup during that time?

I do also know that there have been some updates to how Sharepoint uses SSL, so it might be worthwhile to take a look at any changes on the Sharepoint side of the stack.

One way that I have seen this done is to have IT map your Sharepoint server to an actual drive on your network and then connect that way - its not always an option in every org, but its one that I have seen be useful where it can be comfortably done by your IT group.

I haven't made any changes in Designer that I can remember but I'll check.

Thanks for the suggestion as well- I'll ask our IT team to check it out.

Thanks!
