I am trying to connect to a Sharepoint 365 site, however I get a 502 bad gateway error.  What could be causing the issue?

Have you checked Firewall settings ? or any load on Sharepoint server (sometimes overload may cause connection refuse).

Its a large corporate sharepoint, so I doubt it is load.  Firewall is a possibility.  Do you know which ports need to be open?

Ports one you need to check with Corporate Admin bcz they will let you know based on VPN/Connectivity setting basis.
