Select Tool not Picking up column Names

Hi,

I have a select tool which has column names that I enter a formula tool and create 3 additional columns and then again I am inserting a select tool. However the last select tool just not show up any columns or metadata. Please advise.

Hi @JitenderChawla , after you insert a select tool by creating new colmns using a formula tool, please run your workflow in order to display the 3 columns in the select tool you applied after the formula tool I hope this will help you.

@grazitti_sapna this should not be the issue. In the same workflow I have already done this 2 times

Select > Formula > Select and each time the last select toll captured all the columns without executing the workflow.

However in this one instance, the last select toll only shows the Unknown checkbox. It does not capture any column from the first select tool or the formula tool.

Hi 

do you receive any error messages?

maybe there is a problem that one of the formula is not correct. Maybe you didn’t fill the cell name for a new columns?

I would delete the formula and start from scratch with each column separately.

The last suggestion would be hitting f5 button. Maybe you changed something in settings of the Alteryx and because of that the data isn’t preloaded.
