Securing Use of Outbound Email

Gabacho

I am working with IT to allow us to use the email event to send output from Designer.  There is a concern about securing the ability to send outbound email from the client.  Has anyone else faced this concern from IT?  If so, how was the issue resolved?

Haven't had this concern from IT, but from myself. However, what is nice about the Email Tool within the configuration (https://help.alteryx.com/current/designer/email-tool), is that authorisation can be made by a username and password, and encryption. I also know within G-suite (if thats what you're using), when 2FA is enabled, then you can have app-specific passwords, so you could have a specific password set just for alteryx-client use.

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
TheOC
