I have followed the installation and the configuration guides but I still can't get the scheduler to work. When I attempt to set up the schedule I get to Set Schedule Location where no connections are currently set up. I click add controller, fill in the boxes, I then get Controller Connect Error. "Unable to connect to the Controller. Please consult scheduler faqs. Any ideas?

Hi @RobertBob - are you connecting to a Server, or are you using Designer + Scheduler on your machine?
I am using Admin Designer. Version 11.7.4.37815
Thanks @RobertBob. This generally means the service is not started on the machine - if you are connecting to a server, please have your admin confirm the service is running. If you are connecting to your own machine, then you will want to make sure the Alteryx Service is running there (you can check in services.msc)
Alteryx Services is not running. I had our local guru type person look at it and they couldn't figure out why it wasn't. We went through the system settings and nothing seemed out of place.
@RobertBob were you able to start the service (Right click Alteryx Service > Start)? If you send in a ticket to support@alteryx.com we can look into what caused the service to go down.
I'm having the same problem. When I start the service, Windows comes back and tells the me service started and then stopped.
