Running Total with a Rule to Stop Totaling if Amount Goes Negative

Hi,

I need to keep a running total of the Amounts in column B per customer, however, once the Running Total drops below 0 due to negative amounts in Column, the running total should stop and it should just take the value of the negative amount in Column B if they continue in the sequence.  Where a positive amount is next in the sequence, the running total starts again.

Please see the desired Output in Column C if anyone can assist with how to build this logic/rule?  I've also attached a sample file. Cheers.

Hi @jessfarthing ,

Attached is an example showing how to do it.

Since it is not possible to include that rule in running total tool, I've used a multi-row tool to accomplish it.

Let me know if that works for you.

Best,
