Runner tool not working on the designer Machine

Hi Everyone, 
 
I had been using the Runner tool for a while, but for the past few weeks I have been getting the below error. 
 
Runner (14) Tool #2: The external program "SupportingExes\AlteryxRunner.exe" returned an error code: -1073741512

 

I have tried replacing the tool and tried debugging at my end, but haven't been able to solve this

There are versions with defects in, but they're pretty old. There are some workarounds/tests in that thread which might be useful still though.
