Render Tool - "The file is not a supported format"

Dear community,

I am struggeling with the render tool which I want to use to color code my output file.

It doesn´t matter which workflow I am trying, either my own or some I downloaded from the community, I always receive the same error message at the render tool that "the file is not in a supported format", and I have no clue why.

Please let me know what information else I can provide you to solve that problem. I can upload any workflow where I add a render tool... but it always leeds to the same result at my alteryx....

Thanks in advance!

@Joma Are you facing the issue with the example workflow as well?

Thank you for your fast response.

Actually the example workflow doesn´t even open if I press on the buttom.

Which leads me to the conclusion that something might be wrong with my Designer version. I realized that I dont have the latest version from the Designer so I will update and hope afterwards everything works.

Hi all,

the problem is still open. I have now the latest Alteryx Version 2022.3.1.395 and still the same problem occures.

If I access the Render Sample workflow same error applies. What makes me wonder is that I can not select the output mode. It only shows "Choose a specific output file".

I hope somebody can help me.

Best

Can you add %temp% to the beginning of your output file as suggested here?  I tried it and it works.  Doesn't answer the original question as to why you don't have the temporary options.

Hi, Do we need to add "%temp% before my share folder path? for example share folder start with my I drive path  "\\I\abc\ball\"

@Ganesh123 - Why would it be a temporary file if your outputtng to a share drive?  I'm not following the question.
