Rename a column, but keep the former name as data

I need to rename the column below... say as 'code' but I need to retain the value it has as a new row.

When done, the column name is 'code' and there are 8 rows of data, the 7 current ones and the former column name.

Ideas?

Something like this will probably do the trick for you:

It isn't clear if you need the values from every column name, but the logic can be adjusted as needed. Workflow attached for reference and the dynamic rename tool is what is used to actually rename the column.
