Read data from excel file with complex formatting

Hello!

I have an excel file generated automatically in another step and software that I need to read the information from. 

That file has the following format: in column A, clients are subdivided by status, and in column B the invoice amount.

I want to sum each customer's invoice amount by status, but I'm having trouble since the status is also in column A.
