Is it just me, or would anyone else find value in the Alteryx Designer having a swimlane feature similar to that of Microsoft's visio. I understand containers can be a plug for this, but I wouldn't mind having horizontal or vertical swimlanes (Or both overlapping creating a grid) in which to organize my more crowded workflows. Perhaps each bay could be selected or hidden as needed.
Thoughts?
I think you should submit this as an idea.
I think currently a lot of folks use the comment and tool container tools to do this right now. Where the tool container will automatically wrap itself around whatever tools you have within and can be disabled/enabled, the comment tool just sits in the background/foreground of the workflow.
If you are wanting to quickly line up tools, you can highlight a set of tools and hit "ctrl"+"shift"+"-" to align them horizontally or "ctrl"+"shift"+"+" to align them vertically.
