Publish .TDE to Tableau server

Hello All,

I am new to Alteryx.. I wanted know there any plugin/Kit do I need to install to publish the .tde to tableau server. I ahve checked in 9.5 designer and I was unable to find the direct option/icon for Tableau server login and Publsuh icon. Hence I feel there will some kit which will integrate the Alteryx and Tableau connectivity.. Kondly advise the download link for the same.

Hi Muni,

I believe that you are referring to the 2 tools that Craig Bloodworth from The Information Lab created. They are not officially part of Alteryx but I have seen many customers use them. You can go to The Information Lab page and read about it there, http://www.theinformationlab.co.uk/2014/09/10/getting-tableau-server-rest-api/. On that page there is a download link for Alteryx Tools for Tableau that will have what you are after.

I believe Alex's (and Interwoks tutorial) is the way to go. Remember that Tableau changed the authentication process since 9.X.
