Product Name: Alteryx Desktop Automation

Question

Can someone please explain to me what exactly is this separate product license, and how it differs from from the Alteryx Designer license?
What is the use case? I am unable to create/run a WF with the Automation license.

Does it not work on Desktop Designer? If not, what tool does it operate on?

Can't find a lot of information regarding this.

This article may help. As far as I know desktop automation is no longer actively available outside of grandfathered organizations and special situations. It allows you to schedule workflows locally rather than using Alteryx Server.
