Power BI - Dataset has to have API access to push

Hi

I have started to use the new PowerBI output tool but some of the datasets are grayed out and have this error message:

It looks like I need to change a setting in PowerBI but where about is this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @Matteop9 ,

this is caused by the datasets being created directly from Power BI. The easiest way is to create the dataset over API, e.g. using the Power BI Output tool.

As far as I know, it is not possible to change the dataset type once it's created.
