Power Automate tool in alteryx

I am beginning to look into using the Power Automate tool within alteryx. I work for a big company with restrictions on Power Platform tools. Has anyone used the tool in an environment where specific power platform "environments" were preferred/required, and if so, how difficult was this to setup?

There is a selector for "Instance" in the Power Automate tool that will have a dropdown of the environments the connected user has access to.

I know there is a newer version of the tool made for 2024.1 but have not tried it since we are on an older version of server. I was not too impressed with the tool since passing parameters to power automate didnt work in the older verisons of the connector. I usually end up not using the tool and triggering flows a different way.

Outputting parameters to a list and have the automation trigger on list change or use a download tool for a web hook or http request to trigger the flow, etc.

If you just need it to run a flow and not pass values to it, it should work for you.

@SPetrie I was hoping to use the pass values option. What version are you on? I downloaded the most recent Power Automate tool from the marketplace but I am on 2022.3 for alteryx currently.

Your'e on the same Alteryx version I am on. The newest connector version is for 2024.1 so I wont be able to try it out any time soon.
