Period Fluctuation for Average

Dear All,

I want to make forecast but I'm not sure how to make average I want....

It is difficult to explain with words so I made picture and excel sample file.

1, I set average point. Forecast will begin from this month.

2, Count month from final actual month to average point. in this case, "4 month"

3, [Average point before 4 month and after 4 month] is scope of average

4, Extend forecast with reduction rate

5, I make final result data set

It is very greateful if you could help me....

Hi @Becky,

Attached is a workflow which will get you the same results as your sample, it's a bit clunky and could be improved depending on your needs and structure of the data.

I've assumed that the difference between the record containing 'Average Point' and the last record for which Volume is not null is the number of rows back we have to go when calculating the average. Hope that made sense.

It is perfect solution for me!

I combined serveral another process to it and optimized it to my data, then get really good result!
