Partial Masking of a field

Hi all,

I would like to mask my field with a set of rules, in a way such that if the word has one letter, it is unmasked, 2 and 3 letters and it shows the first letter, 4 letters and 5 letters it shows 2, 6 letters and more then it shows the first 4 letters only,

ie. THIS IS MY FAVORITE HOUSE -> THXX IX MX FAVOXXXX HOXXX
