Overriding predefined entities in Named Entity Recognition tool

I would like to define my own entities using the NER tool in Intelligence Suite.  I have used the approach to add new entities with a text input tool, but the workflow will still run through the pre-defined one's first before the new entities.  How do I override these?  This is something that appears is an order issue, at least if you're using Spacy.  python 3.x - What is the best way to overcome wrong entity recognision with Spacy? - Stack Overflow.
