I was able to create a workflow wherein the [Details] sheet of my output file is automatically updating based on the most recent file I downloaded to my [Reports] folder. The data covers columns A to K. I have a created another sheet in my output file where I can look up some values based on the updated daily data of my [Details] sheet.
I made the [Details] sheet a dynamic table, so I can reference it in my formula, but I realized that every time I run my workflow, the table that I formatted is gone, so its reference in my lookup formula in another sheet is also impacted.
Is there a way that I can retain my [Details] sheet as a dynamic table after running my workflow? For example, the headers will be retained and the data update starts at row 2?
Thanks in advance for your answers. Your guidance is highly appreciated :-)
Hi @ChGatsby ,
I am not sure if I exactly understand your needs,
but if you want to keep the format you defined on Excel and just to update the data,
this blog post may be helpful.
Thank you, I read the article but it was too much for someone who is new to Alteryx to absorb. Basically, I have created an Excel table in a sheet. My workflow overwrites the data, but it does not preserve the table I created.
