Obtain district from a postcode e.g. SL4, LL58

Hi,

 

Not sure what to use in the RegEx to obtain only the first part of a postcode? Currently, I have (\u+) but this does not return digits.

 

Input = LL58 1AP

Required Output = LL58

 

thanks for any help.
