No tab option for the Results window

Hi. 

I used to be able to tell my results (and configuration and overview...)  window to be a Tab.  Now I don't have that option at all.  Tabbed Dogument is greyed out.  Is this by design, and if so please can we have tab-ability back.  Alternatively is there a setting to turn this  tab-ability back on, please?
