No fields in select tool

Hi,

I'm trying to select some fields from an input file using the select tool but it doesn't show up the list of fields at all.

Can anyone help me? Is this a bug?

Hi @stella1 

One possible cause is...there are some tools which can't automatically recognize fields info unless running workflow(Dynamic Input, Cross-tab, Dynamic Rename...etc). 

If you could share the screenshot of the workflow in question, I could advise more specifically.

Hi,

Thanks for the tip/advice.  I deleted the initial workflow and re-pulled in the input file and select tool and it shows up the list of fields in the input file. Now it's working properly.

If you encounter this kind of malfunctions, just running workflow would solve issue from time to time, so remember this in future :)
