Newbie Schedule workfllow question

I am currently evaluating Alteryx and I had a question. Can you schedule Alteryx to go out to an FTP site, pull date from a file, manipulate it, and save it out to another FTP site? BTW, can this be accomplished by the desktop version and server version.

The answer would be the same if it was an XML file. Alteryx has a tool that will help to parse out XML.

It is entirely possible to schedule a workflow that pulls data from an FTP site, manipulates the data then posts back to an FTP site.

First of all you need to learn how to GET and POST onto the ftp site. Look at this link for help https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Knowledge-Base/Automating-File-Transfer-Protocol-FTP-Downloads/ta-p/19186

The server can do it by default, the desktop version will need the desktop scheduler in order to automate the process.
