New to Alteryx

Question

Hello Alteryx Community! Just dropping in to say my greetings and that I have really been enjoying Alteryx so far. We are learning it in my college course as you will probably see many new users in this community as well. One question for a topic is, are there any best practices for designing workflows in Alteryx?

hey @nickgradilla the rule of thumb I always work by is to remove any unnecessary columns as early as possible in the Workflow using a Select tool that way you are only working with the data you actually need. You can also change your data types if needed at this point aswell

Another good practice to have is to use filter tools as early as possible in the workflow so that again you are only working the rows of you require to reach your end goal.
