Dear Alteryx Community,
I am hoping an optimization expert might be able to guide me in the right direction. I wish to move a model from Excel to Alteryx in order to increase the scale of decision variables and increase complexity.
This model requires shipments pass from a plant to a DC and then from that DC to a customer. Thus, there are balancing constraints (AI3:AI7) to ensure that whatever goes into a DC must also leave that DC, and also linking constraints (AG3:AG7) to ensure that in order to use a DC, it must be activated so the fixed cost is taken into account.
Is it required in the Alteryx optimization tool to use constraints to do the same balancing and linking as in Excel?
Thank you,
Daniel
@danielrg I think this previous post on the Community will be useful for you when we talk about constraints and the Optimisation Tool:
