Hi All,
I've been running a workflow that has several numeric columns as 'Double' (all columns have positive and negative numbers).
All formulas and tools are working ok.
However, when I'm pulling out the data using the Render Tool, the Excel file shows (some) negative numbers in every column with the "number as text" error with the green mark.
When I'm trying to manually sum all the columns in the excel file, those negatives cells are not being considered.
Is something in the Render Tool I'd need to change or is a Data Type issue?
All columns are "Double".
Just a final comment, I'm using JOIN to join 2 basic tables before the Render.
And it shows that the Basic Tables are "V_WString".
Will that be the problem?
Thanks in advance!
What version of your Alteryx Designer?
If it's 2023.1 there are some things different from previous versions
Yes. I'm using 2023.1.
What changes are you refering to? Like some bugs pending to fix?
Or more steps I'll need to do to fix this issue?
tx
That's right. I don't know if it can be considered a bug.
but the first is that just by placing the render tool and configuring the file type it already creates the file and every time you open the workflow it overwrites the file. I believe this is one more item that in version 2023.1 is a point to be reported.
I did a test in version 2023.1 with negative values ??and generating an excel the problem you reported did not occur
there must be something wrong with your table and join does not internally change the generated xml values
You are right. I used the Output Data Tool right before the Table and had no issues with the negatives.
Seems like is the Table that is not converting the negatives into numbers.
But is there any way to change the configuration in the Table Tool?
