Need Expression Editor Documentation

Hi,

Can someone please recommend detailed documentation on writing the custom filter statements in the Expression Editor used in tools such as Filter and Formula?

The examples in the Designer and the online document at https://help.alteryx.com/20212/designer/filter-tool are too basic for my need, I am looking for detailed information on how to write complex functions.

I doubt if a comprehensive guide on writing expressions exists currently. The below article might be of some help in that regards:-

Within the designer, you can also look at some samples for different expressions in the config window.

Have you seen the Tool Mastery Series these typically take a deep dive into the functions of each tool, more so than the htool examples

The interface of filter tool seems to be changed. Initially, it had expression editor 🙂

Hi im not sure what you mean, there is still the ability to create your own custom expressions on the filter tool by choosing the custom filter option.

Agreed that functionality is still there. Was just saying how the interface has changed 😅🙂
