NBA Topshot / Flow Blockchain / Dapper Labs Data Download

I'm trying to figure out how to extract data from:

https://www.nbatopshot.com/

Per my understanding they are on the Flow Blockchain (https://play.onflow.org/) and execute transactions through Dapper Labs (https://www.meetdapper.com/)

There are a couple of sites that appear to do it successfully (https://intangible.market/), (http://cryptoslam.io/nba-top-shot) and a couple of GitHub projects discussing it (https://github.com/dapperlabs/nba-smart-contracts), (https://github.com/rrrkren/topshot-sales).

I can usually back into how to do stuff like this but this one it totally throwing me for a loop on even where to start.

Can anyone provide some thoughts and/or maybe could provide a comparable example? Has anyone done anything comparable? I found some references to a JavaScript tool but I'm not thinking that tool may have been deprecated.

This is 100% a hobby project for me and I'd be open to collaborating. First goal is to get the data to analyze patterns, and second goal may be to figure out how to execute trades through a workflow.

Thanks in Advance!

Hey Dan -

I am also very interested in NBA Topshot and would like to explore developing w/ Flow. I would love to be able to track all published transactions of certain cards and be alerted to those to start..

Maybe we can collaborate on a project like this...

Did this project ever take off? I have been looking into data flow myself, have yet to find much established other then the known few.

I haven't been able to find the time to dissect the documentation, nor am I aware of any Alteryx users that have cracked it. Everyone in the thread has been radio silent - I think most are just looking for a completed project as opposed to participating in creation, which I can't blame them for.

Here is a tool that has connected to the data feed from flow pretty well.

Hey that's my site! 🙂

I'm not familiar with Alteryx but I have data from February 22nd onward in Postgres if that's helpful to y'all (and hope to have a full historical ingest once some issues with Flow are worked out, likely in the next few weeks).

Also happy to chat with anyone interested re: approach to reading the data from Flow.

Hey I love your website dude and I am trying to build something using the nbatopshot data too! Would you be open to collaborating?

Hey beau!

I'm a student playing around with some NBA topshot data and doing a bit of analysis. I'd really appreciate your dataset if possible!

Thanks so much

Hi Beau,

I'm a Data Science student and I'm also interested in accessing Top Shot's data feed.  Would be great to hear your approach if you have any time.

Thanks!

Hey Beau,

I'd be interested in checking out your database. Also interested in chatting Flow.

Let me know if you're up for it.
