The Report Text Tool was giving me null values for two fields, "Region" and " Changes in monthly Sales", respectively ;
Hopefully somebody could spot what was the problem.
My workflow as attached here.

@jwang357 - sorry I missed your question about the Region. It's the same issue as the Changes in Monthly Sales. The field you are including in the body of the text tool cannot have the same name as the field name in Create new field for this text - i.e.:1 and 2 in the screen shot below can't be the same

@jwang357 - In the table tool after the formula tool where you create changes in monthly sales, rename the new field to something other than Changes in Monthly Sales and that should work:
