Message Tool not working

Hi,

I am trying to use the message tool to automatically stop my workflow if there are any records coming out of the tool prior the message tool. For some reason, I am getting the 'Parse Error at Char 0: Unkown variable'. I followed the instruction on this YouTube video but it does not work for me. I am only trying to check if there are any records so not sure why there would be any error.. Any idea how to fix this?

In Alteryx, click the Developer category, click the Message tool, and click Open Example

Notice that all 4 examples have the Message Expression inside double quotes.

Enter a value for Message Expression. Something like "No records were found"
