I just recently re-installed Alteryx Designer Desktop Version 2023.2.1.7 due to issues with the Map Input Tool not working and displaying the following messages:
I was looking around and found the following:
in addition to several community posts that had the same solution: rename the "RuntimeSettings.xml" file and restart Alteryx. My issue is that, when doing this, Alteryx will no longer start. Alteryx does begin to work again if I revert the name of the file back to its original state, but then nothing has changed with the Map Input Tool. I am prepared to submit a case, but I figured I may as well ask to see if others have had this problem and have found a solution.
I've actually seen that pop up for me too when I was doing some spatial challenges. I think the case ticket is the best route.
I am having this problem right now. The link to support in the linked article is no longer working. If you rename the runtimesettings.xml file and the problem persists, you need to go to alteryx.com/support. It will look like it's sending you to a dead, blank page but there are options on the left-hand side and you need to select Case Management where you can submit a new case.
