Hello all,
I have created a workflow to collect all the reports from a file by a directory and used a macro dynamic input my issue is all the reports their file date is showing as the one I have inserted in the macro for example all of them showing as the 6th of Jan and the other files have been created since december, any idea how I can fix this issue ?
Thank you
Hi @Malek22,
If I understand your issue correctly, you are trying to use a Batch Macro to pull all files from a folder one at a time (usually to mitigate schema issues). If this is correct, your Action tool is incorrectly formatted. It is currently changing just the filename in the output and not the actual file to pull. Select the "file-value" line instead of the "OutputFileName" line. Depending on how your input is configured, you will likely need not replace only a specific part of the filename. At the bottom of the Action tool configuration, check the box for "Replace a specific string" and delete all the information except for the actual filename. Let us know if you have additional questions or if I am not understanding your issue.
Hi @T_Willins ,
Thank you for sharing this with me yes exactly this is the issue I faced and im still facing, I tried what you have advised me to do but the filename / date has been disappeared from the flow and it is not showing in the field, could you please tell me how I can add the file name or the full bath to each record ?
Hi @T_Willins , following on my previous comment, I knew how to add the file date on separated column but the issue when I put the filename only in the replace string I got that error:
Error: LeerArchivosxlsx (2) (3): Record #1: Tool #10: File not found "G:\My Drive\D05 Malek's Drive\HC - Tech Dashboard\G:\My Drive\D05 Malek's Drive\HC - Tech Dashboard\R145\R145 Staff List Report 2020-07-08 09_50 GMT+2.xlsx\G:\My Drive\D05 Malek's Drive\HC - Tech Dashboard\R145\R145 Staff List Report 2020-07-08 09_50 GMT+2.xlsx Staff List Report 2020-07-08 09_50 GMT+2.xlsx".
