Getting an error while using the macro within workflow but everything is perfect during run the macro

My understanding is the action tool configuration is not right and wouldn't work. I started of with a similar configuration as yours I couldn't get it working and had to change the approach.
Can you provide the workflow with sample data so that we can check and help you out : )
Also - can you clarify what tool 3 is - is it the macro - or something in the macro - like say a select tool? Also - how are the values in your list box set? hard code? connected field in the macro?

Even I am facing same issue, I exactly did what was shown in interactive lesson. If they are not working, how do we know what to do.
