Have you looked at the weekly challenges which involve iterative macros (I think there is a flower delivery one which is quite solid (and fairly complex)) which uses an iterative macro with spatial tools. (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Weekly-Challenge/Challenge-266-Mother-s-Day-Bouquet/td-p/753922)

Could just be my personal experience but my hunch is most developers make 100-200 batch macros for every iterative macro. These numbers might be skewed even more...
