Join tool left input, left output, join output not shown

Question

I'm joining two datasets where the message shows that some are joined and some are not.

The right input and output are correctly displayed, and the number of records are also correct.

However, the left input, left output, and join output are not displayed.

Version: Alteryx Designer 2021.2 x64

Could someone please explain what is happening and how to solve this problem?

The records are displayed in the browse tools, but still not in the join tool for left and join outputs.

Strangely, the browse tool connecting the joined output displays the records correctly right after the workflow is run, but becomes empty if I click on some other tool and then click back. This does not happen to the other two browse tools.

@wtian1 just to confirm, have you got fields actually selected on the join tool to be displayed? I could imagine a situation where it shows you that things are joining, but nothing will show on the output anchors if nothing is selected to be shown on the join tool. Trivial but worth a check

@wtian1 I had this issue earlier. I closed Alteryx and reopened it and it was fine. Hopefully that works for you!

If not, you could also try attaching browse tools after each of the output anchors? Perhaps that could trick the workflow into showing the results.
