I have the following challenge.
I have many (hundreds) of Excel files with different metadata. These always have to be converted to the same metadata base.
For this I have developed a solution that I would like to improve. Currently I have a macro that loads all Excel files into Alteryx via the wildcard. Then I have a second macro with which I can select a column in which the metadata is should be change.
My question. Does anyone know if it would be possible to develop an iterative macro for this problem?
Here is what I have in mind. Unfortunately, I don't have a solution yet.
I have a sample file and a second folder with all my excel files to be adapted to it. Then I run a workflow that loads the excel files from the folder into Alteryx and matches the metadata of these to the metadata of my sample file. Until they are all aligned.
Has anyone ever had a similar case?
I would be very happy to hear about ideas on how to implement this.
