Is it possible to use a macro for reporting?

I am building pdfs that will have some differences in their snippet content, like having different table structures between them. Is it possible to pass snippets to a macro?

yes. sure. It's also possible to configure formatting in a macro. Just remember that you can use multiple action tools from one control parameter to change multiple things in a single reporting tool.
