What is the difference between input data tool and input data tool classic mode?

 

I hope it differs based file types connecting to.

I took look into the options. I dont think the data sources are different.

 

Only main changes in Interface.

 

Normal mode > Data connection > also have a lot of connection options.

Data sources are not different.  The new one is as UI as opposed to strictly a configuration pane.

Hello all
I was trying to find this in the community, help pages and in the beta website, without any luck.
I noticed that the Tableau Format .hyper option for reading files in the Classic Mode is not present as an option.

While in the new is there:

And in both documentation pages listed in this post, this format is not mentioned at all
